Praticial Component

 

Students are required to complete a minimum of eighty (80) hours work placement (on the job) to successfully complete the Certificate III in Children's Services

 

Attendance (classroom delivery only)

 

Students are required to attend class one night per week for two hours, or one day per week for five hours. If students are unable to attend class contact will need to be made with the trainer at the student’s earliest possible convenience. Student attendance must equal 80% or more in order to be deemed competent and obtain qualifications.

 

Assessment

 

Assessment requirements are outlined at the commencement of each module. A combination of written and practical tasks will be completed. All assessments are to be completed satisfactorily before the Certificate III in Children’s Services is awarded. Time frames for completion of assessment tasks will be set by individual trainers.

 

The Apply Basic First Aid course (HLTFA1A) must also be attained prior to completion of the course. KARBEN Training Solutions will offer this course to Certificate III participants at a reduced rate of $120.

 

All assignments must be typed. Students must attach assessor marking guides as well as assignment detail slips to every assignment before they can be submitted for marking. (Supplied in the course workbook)

 

Resources

 

1. Throughout the duration of this course, students will be required to participate in independent study using a range of resources, including:

�� The allocated workbook and Readings

�� Local libraries

�� The internet

�� Local children’s services

Students will be referred to suitable references as required throughout the course of study.

 

2. Students will be required to purchase:

�� Notepads to record class lectures

�� Pens/pencils/highlighters etc.

3. Participants will be provided with a course workbook for use throughout the course.

 

 

Classroom Location

 

A majority of KARBEN Training Solutions classroom based courses are held at the newly built Zenith Centre at Tuggerah 

The Zenith Centre Tuggerah is located in the Tuggerah Business Park, Reliance Drive, Tuggerah.

Whether traveling from Sydney or Newcastle proceed to the Wyong Road exit on the F3 Freeway.

Proceed East along Wyong Road (approximately 1.5 km) over the railway bridge and turn right at the roundabout into Reliance Drive.
